For a Good Cause

The following two paintings were my donation to a Rotary Club art auction. I've had pretty good luck with my seagull paintings, so I thought I'd have another stab at it. This one I called "The Caucus" The second, called "Out of the Woods" is a 12x12 inch acrylic. It was largely an experimental piece. I was the most pleased with the trees in the background as I consider landscape-type painting to be the the most challenging. The scene has evoked different reactions with different people. Some think it is slightly ominous, but that was not the intent. I think she's pleased to be out of the woods though, & is thinking about where she's headed next.
